Hersh Acharya

A lawyer by day, Hersh has spent the last 12 years making images on the street, and on his various travels. Photography represents an escape, as well as, a way of getting to know himself and the world around him through these fragments of memory and imagination. He believes that images create an echo of a time and a place, and that is what he aims to represent in his images.

Hersh has exhibited in Bombay at the Tao Art Gallery, No Man's Art Gallery and the Prince of Wales Museum, as well as, exhibitions in Washington D.C. by WALA and by the No Man's Art Gallery in Copenhagen.

His images have been published in Elle, Better Photography, Beautiful People, Parsiana and Jetwings magazine, among others.
