AN EDUCATION
"Classrooms contain multitudes. They are microcosms of moments and possibilities. Safe spaces where students can be poised and ready to take flight, or where kids can just be — cheeky, sleepy, naughty, curious. They conjure timeless scenes of pages fluttering on a ruled notebook, waiting to be inscribed with newly formed thoughts and foundational ideas or just doodled on in the margins. Inspiration and magic can take place at any point, leading sometimes to accelerated moments when seemingly disparate pieces of the world make sense and other times to glacial, gradually unfolding mysteries of life and the universe. These works convey the enterprise of that wondrous process we call learning."
